Was this rude or am I being over sensitive?

I went to Barnes & Noble today. Me and three others entered the store. We took a few steps and these sales girls said: "You can be here are not open!" I asked what time the store opens. She said sales at 10:00 am am. I look at my watch was 9:55. "The man behind me said," I guess you do not want to sell books. "I get a store that has certain hours of operation. However, the door was open and it seemed a foolish throw us for five minutes when I was there. If the shop was closed the door should be closed. After the way the sales girl told us, I was not inclined to spend my money there. Was this rude or am I being more sensitive.

I think it was rude. Five minutes is not going to take more of your time especially because people who go to stores like Barnes & Noble, to search and look around. I would said, "borders on the street / city will be opened when you get there." I have to buy so many books for ______." smiled, then left, taking my money to me.
